The RPT-1 Repeater Cabinet, a Radio Amplification Unit (RAU) in a NEMA-4 enclosure that contains the Radio Frequency Amplifiers, facilitates the receipt and transmission of the FDNY Tactical Channel 11 and Channel 12 radio frequencies. The RPT-1 is specifically designed to power and communicate to the ARCS-2000 Auxiliary Radio Communication System OC-1 Operator Console. The RPT-1 Cabinet also contains equipment that supervises the RF systems as well as all related system interconnections. The RPT-1 can be installed in a centrally located electrical equipment room.
The Firecom RPT-1 Repeater Cabinet along with the OC-1 Operator Console and custom designed distributed antenna within the ARCS-2000 System ensures that Firefighters and other First Responders can communicate clearly, allowing for a more effective and organized emergency response within a building.
